Hi,
I set the default-webbrowser via KDE's system-settings > Standard-Apps.
Switched between Firefox-ESR and Chromium.
dileks@iniza:~$ xdg-open heise.de
dileks@iniza:~$ xdg-open www.heise.de
dileks@iniza:~$ xdg-open https://www.heise.de
^^ xdg-open respects the change.
The same behaviour with KMail - opens Links accordingly to
default-webbrowser settings.
