I've heard this one before, but besides disagreeing, I don't see it as an excuse not to fix
actual usability issues that could be fixed. Better to look for ways to fix things, than to
brush it off or excuse why they should remain broken.

That's what I thought they should do indeed, but they clearly do not, because as mentioned
in this very thread, you can get a situation when you have a mix of plasma packages with
different versions which will result in bugs and broken experience until you make sure to
align the versions to the same one manually.
The idea is that whatever package it is, should automate such kind of consistency, which
currently is not the case. I sort of find it strange that Debian wouldn't have some mechanism
that can provide packages consistency for a group of packages that need to migrate together.
