I do indeed use an older NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, so could be hit by this bug.
I also think (but have not yet got the evidence) that this could be an
intermittent problem. It first hit me earlier this week, which was many days
after the forky Qt 6.9 update.
May be irrelevant, but I have done stress tests of the current chromium
browser (141.0.7390.65-1) and they seem to work without a problem.
