Re: Trixie Plasma freeze

Hello everyone,

I have exactly the same problem with Debian 13, except that I don't have an Nvidia card, but an Intel integrated on Dell Vostro desktop workstation.

After reinstalling Debian 12, everything works as it should.

Hi,

I do actually have the same problem. Since I'm running nvidia-provided distro-agnostic drivers (don't ask...), I didn't gave it too much thought, but now that you mention the same problem, I'm becoming curious.

I only encounter this on my desktop laptop, which is running a freshly installed Debian Stable. My work laptop is running a much older but up-to-date Debian Testing that started as a Debian 11 stable way way back, and it doesn't seem to have the same problem at all.

I couldn't identify any specific cause either. No systemd unit seem to mention any problem that I can identify.

Anyone else ?

Hello,

I have the problem, that about 20 sec after every login Plasma freezes
for about 30 sec. All other windows work fine.
The ≈30 sec points to a timeout-problem, but I have absolutely no glue
what’s the reason.

Anyone with a similar problem?
