You were right Soren. I was a settings issue after all. **It was the Vitual Keyboard setting, causing Firefox's URL bar to twitch!** Since the Trixie upgrade Plasma has an additional Virtual Keyboard listed i.e., 'IBus Wayland'. It didn't exist in Plasma on my system before, and was selected by default for whatever reason. Changing the selection to 'None', fixed the problem. I had almost given up trying, having played with all other settings. Thanks for responding!
