chromium 140.0.7339.80-1~deb13u1 seems broken under Trixie KDE

The chromium release this week went south for my Trixie KDE installation. 
Chomium launches and kind of works, but the window is full of random video 
artifacts that obscure most of the user interface.

This isn't a show stopper for me. I mostly use Falkon and Firefox ESR. If it's 
not just a local problem for my installation, it might be a problem for other 
KDE users out there in Debian land. I just updated to Debian 13.1 this 
morning, and chromium is still exhibiting the same behavior...
