The whole bug reporting thing isn't exactly clear to me. I've had people tell me I shouldn't use reportbug if it's not a Debian packaging issue, for example. And reportbug just seems to have a lot of unresolved bugs listed that seem more like a black hole than a method of getting an issue resolved. I wonder if the reportbug system even gets looked at by developers or packagers because I rarely hear about bug reports until they are years old.
The Debian lists seem more responsive and handle more issues than just bugs.
