Thanks, the Oxygen White cursors are working for me again. The solution for me was:

# cd /usr/share/icons/Oxygen_White/cursors && ln -s left_ptr default

I guess the same will have to be done to other mouse cursor themes (Oxygen Blue/Yellow/etc) if someone wants to use them with FF.
