I understand your frustration but:
1. Debian Sid is also called Debian Unstable. If you expect a stable
system at all times… well you can expect as much as you like… but it does
not automatically happen that way.
2. Debian Qt/KDE developers are busy working at Plasma 6 and all what is
needed for that. They work in their free time. And as such it should be
fair enough to decide what to work on, when to work and how to prioritize
their work!
3. Severity guidelines¹ describe the next severity after "normal" as: "a
bug which has a major effect on the usability of a package, without
rendering it completely unusable to everyone". And certainly Plasma is not
completely unusable for everyone.
That written: It would indeed be nice in case someone of them would upload
a fix for that. And I'd say feel free to ping them *friendly* (!) on IRC or
through their mailing list.
