Ah, it seemed apt held it back to a version that did not yet use the 
virtual package names:

% LANG=en apt policy kmymoney
kmymoney:
  Installed: 5.0.7-1
  Candidate: 5.0.7-1+b1

        500 http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian sid/main amd64 Packages
