18.08.2 I mean and upgrading to 19.08.2 from experimental fixed it.

I needed to at least to upgrade kdepim-runtime and kdepim-addons to the
version of experimental to make kmail work again. To make IMAP access
work again it seems I needed to upgrade libkf5imap-data manually.
I think I now got everything upgraded to 19.08.2. And it appears to
work.
