That issue is indeed fixed, but upon starting Kontact/KMail I still get 'some' 
"KIO Exec error" with the following text in a popup screen.

Just checked the available and installed kio packages and the one that stood 
out was kdepimlibs-kio-plugins, which is not installed on my system.
So it can be that it should be defined as a Depends or Recommends (although 
new Recommends don't get automatically installed, so could just be a thing on 
my system).

Will install that package in a moment, but wanted to catch that 'very useful' 
error message first ;-)
