Fwd: Re: pulling kdepim experimental?

Hi Gael and everyone else,

Jupp, Sandro uses KDEPIM from experimental since a while.

And one more note for me, with large maildirs Akonadi Search can become a hog,
but if you set it to initial indexing done it will only index new mail, so
that can work. What doesn´t work is to deactivate full text indexing for
individual folders. Its not implemented in Akonadi Search, although KMail
offers that setting and Akonadi even saves it.

The config file is still "baloorc", but all config files of KDEPIM + Akonadi 5
are in ~/.config now (as with everything else from Plasma 5):

martin@merkaba:~/.config> cat baloorc
[Akonadi]
aborted=false
agentIndexingVersion=4
dirtyCollections=
initialIndexingDone=true

Thanks,
Martin

Hey,

I'm running kdepim from experimental successfully for a while now.

But becase kde-full, kde-standard are have no update in experimental, these
are removed and that's why most of kde applications are removed. These are
"only" virtual packages, you can install the application by hand. So if you
really want to test it - you have to give apt the nessary informations to not
remove the half of your system...

Regards,

sandro
