Right. I have worked through my backlog of FOSS list mails and have learned 
that Akonadi is no longer pursuing to be a PIM hub for applications other then 
the one for KDEPIM.

Unfortunatly that means not upgrading KDEPIM until applications using Akonadi 
have been ported to other means of data access.
I guess Evolution Data Server is the only contender in that area now :-/
