I have synaptic installed but I don't use it for dist-upgrades.
This morning I made two, I don't recall that there were recommends,
just a massive upgrade that destroyed all my settings, that is what
I am trying to rebuild.
Anyway, I don't have problems, it is just that this is too new,
still needs work, settings are missing, configs are impossible so
far.
System settings does not allow yet to configure power management,
etc.
Basically too immature for the moment.

Hallo everybody,
This is my first time posting on this list.
We have gone through a very painful upgrade in stretch and we
are still
ironing out many problems.
So I will start tackling them one at a time, and hope that the
rest will
be resolved over time.
The first one will be systemsettings.
I get kicked out of the desktop and prompted for a password
but...systemsettings does not have a power management applet any
more,
so I cannot configure.
Related to that, my beloved ktux screensaver is installed but
not
accessible so I cannot set it up.
There is another problem: System Settings does not launch from
the
Klauncher, it is accessible but not from there.

There are more problems but that should be enough for now.
Carlos, I have done 5 installs of kde-plasma-desktop and the best
thing I can tell you to do is to install 'synaptic' and check the
settings in synaptic and make sure you have checked install
recommends and install the highest version and then update and
install/reinstall kde-plasma-desktop, call me if you need more
help.
