I've head similar problems. If I remember right, it has been fixed by deletion
(or moving out of the way) of the file
~/.kde/share/config/akonadi_mailfilter_agentrc

Interesting. This didn't work for me. I moved the file out of the directory, stopped and restarted kontact, and created a single rule. When I applied it to a message that matched it, it did not mov ethe message as requested.

Anything else I could try? I'd really hate going to icedove or some other mua.
