I have seen something like this before. Especially after I quit Amarok and
restart it or after it crashed and restart it.

I usually use killall amarok, sometimes it needs killall -9 amarok and then
restart it. Then it comes up.

I am keen on testing with with Amarok 2.8 which has been released today. I
hope there will be a Debian package soon. It contains many fixes and
polishments and yay even a audio visualization applet.
