Well, well, that's interesting, since I don't like random problems I
can't understand I kept an image of my old setup, reading your message I
 restored it and tried again, I got the "ghost" sshfs mount on one of
three restarts... So there is something randomly going wrong here, I'll
see if it shows up with KDE4.2.4 too. Strange.

Thanks for reporting this, it will save me from wondering (too much)
about my mental sanity, or at least I will know we are two of our kind
seeing folders "vanishing" in Dolphin ;-)
