  Just for the sake of completeness, I think that the Debian bug link could be 
convenient here:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=427391

  It looks clear that is not a Debian bug, but rather KDE or (less probably) 
Linux kernel.

  In the upstream bug, a procedure is explained to get a useful backtrace. 
This is my next queued for this issue. I wish I had the time soon.
