Ah ... if only I understood those arcane "developer information
pages", how much wiser I'd be :)

That 2-months-ago entry says "Previous version: (not in testing) /
Current version:  0.2.2-2", but "stable" isn't mentioned. A search of
http://packages.debian.org/swscanner doesn't show a "stable" version.

But I'll gladly take your statement that the deb on your download page
is for Sarge if that's what you're saying ... thanks.
