Cannot reduce shadows (screen decorations)

Hallo!

I'm using sid.  After last dist-upgrade, shadows decorating any division in a 
kde app (for instance the kmail screenshot you can see through the link at 
the bottom) are too big.

I haven't been able to solve this in kcontrol -> screen decorations... any 
idea?  8-?
