Where taskbar menus popup

This sounds like a really minor quibble, but it's quite annoying.
>From the dawn of time until KDE 3.2.1, when you had similar tasks grouped
in the taskbar, and you clicked on the taskbar for one, the list of
all those tasks would pop up just above the cursor, with no current
one selected.  If you let go the mouse, the menu stayed so you could
look at it.

I've just upgraded to Sid 3.2.2, and now, the list of tasks pops up
exactly where the cursor is.  If you let go the mouse, the bottom one is
raised and focussed.

This is a fairly big change in behaviour, does anyone else see the same ?
