In my experience, the culprit is famd. Kill it and you can umount the
CD. Better yet, deinstall the fam package. It's not necessary (though
libfam is) and more trouble than it's worth. Apparently, now that
kdelibs are compiled with dnotify enabled, there's no point in using
fam at all.
