Font problems

As I just reported I can't get ksnapshot to work I haven't yet submitted a kde
bug report - so could someone out their try the following and see if they get
the same problem. I am trying to understand if its a problem with
libfreetype or with libqt (see other messages about font problems in konsole
- - I now understand whats happening and this isn't related to below)

Assuming you have the xfonts-konsole package installed - go into konsole and
select Settings/Font/Custom. In the font list select the console font. In
the dialog box, does the font look to be double spaced?. If you select this
font to be used in konsole, does it also act double spaced all the time.

This is what happens to me - I can't get it to do it with other fonts - and if
I run an xterm with the -fn switch and select the console font it doesn't
happen either. One of the reasons libqt went from 3.1 to 3.1.1 was something
to do with font widths, and I am wondering if this is a resulting problem.
