Hi,
strange problem here. I wanted to upgrade to KDE3 by using a download.kde.org
mirror. "apt-get update" runs fine with the following apt line:
deb http://download.uk.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/latest/Debian woody/
Even an "apt-cache show kmail" shows that is was successfull:
- -------------------snip-------------------
# apt-cache show kmail
Package: kmail
Version: 4:3.0.4-1
Priority: optional
Section: mail
Maintainer: Christopher L Cheney <ccheney@debian.org>
[...]
Filename: ./i386/kdenetwork/kmail_3.0.4-1_i386.deb
[...]
Package: kmail
[...]
Version: 4:2.2.2-14.1
[...]
Filename: pool/main/k/kdenetwork/kmail_2.2.2-14.1_i386.deb
[...]
Package: kmail
[..]
Version: 4:2.2.2-14.0woody1
[...]
Filename: pool/updates/main/k/kdenetwork/kmail_2.2.2-14.0woody1_i386.deb
[...]
- ---------------snip-------------
As you can see, I use the deb lines for testing and unstable and pinned apt
to testing. But installing KDE3 has no effect:
# apt-get install kmail
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Sorry, kmail is already the newest version.
0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
# dpkg -l kmail
[...]
ii kmail 2.2.2-14.1 Mail Client based on Qt and KDE
So what can I do about this? Or is the sid deb line for download.kde.org
better for testing? Why is testing as debian tree always ignored?
Hendrik
