I don't understand.  What has gcc 3.0.1 to do with it.  It's not even in 
unstable and I have been running it for years now.  In fact, this one right 
here is 3.0.2 compiled with 

npg@eurotrash:~$ gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i386-linux/2.95.4/specs
gcc version 2.95.4 20011002 (Debian prerelease)

I just don't understand this rationale.  Maybe someone could shed some light 
on this?
