I've done something similar. The situation was a bit different in that you
needed to make sure _not_ everybody comes in and you have to let the user
in yourself. But that doesn't change much to the solution.

Just start kdm or somthing similar that says "start" which the user can
click on. Then remove the old home and install a fresh one from a copy.
Write an app that always stays on top and that says "restart". As soon as
you click that you'll log out and end up in kdm (or whatever that is).
