For anyone who's curious, this is (was) a known bug in kicker.  There
are four or five duplicate bug reports about it, all of which are closed
as duplicates, but I can't find the original to see whether the issue
was actually closed or not.  I'd like to just apply the patch for that
fix rather than get the CVS kdebase, but I can't find it in the code.  I
would appreciate any off-list help from anyone who's a little more
familiar with the code.
