the non-existence of libglib1.3-12

This package's non-existence is causing problems for a number of other 
packages:
(trying to install kde-devel)
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
  kde-devel: Depends: kdelibs-dev but it is not going to be installed
             Depends: libkmid-dev but it is not going to be installed
             Depends: kdebase-dev but it is not going to be installed
             Depends: koffice-dev but it is not going to be installed
             Depends: kdepim-dev but it is not going to be installed
E: Sorry, broken package

Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
  libkmid: Depends: libglib1.3-12 (>= 1.3.12) but it is not installable

All in all, they all depend on kdelibs-dev, and kdelibs-dev in turn depends 
on libkmid-dev, and libkmid-dev -> libkmid (obviously) and finally libkmid -> 
libglib1.3-12.

I tried finding a copy of libglib1.3-12 so I could install it on my own, but 
had no luck.
