This means that your locales - settings are not supported by the X-server. 
This is not all too byd, because the X-server just uses the C-default 
(=english), but it might be a problem if you want to make use of the € (Euro) 
- - sign!
Make sure you use a "default-like" locale-setting ang regenerate the settings 
with locale-gen.
ad "default-like": I'm from Austria, so my locale-setting would be de_AT. 
However, the X-Server doesn't know this, so I have to use de_DE (for 
germany). This was the reason why my € (Euro) didn't work for sooo long;-)
