kdm chooser incorrectly reports Display not authorized
I have set up a server (holler) with kdm (4:2.2.1.0-6 according to the
Debian package version numbering) and a handful of X-terminals. The
X-terminals connect with the line
xq:3:respawn:/usr/bin/X11/X -indirect holler
in their /etc/inittab. This works fine, they get the kdm chooser
screen with a list of hosts. But for the entry for holler itself, the
status is reported as "Display not authorized to connect". Despite
this, you can select it and connect no problem. So the reported
status is incorrect. It should say "Willing to manage" - or even
better, give the ouput of /etc/kde2/kdm/kdmrc/Xwilling.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Eric
