Kicker dies!!!

Yesterday evening I made an upgrade of my Laptop-Woody/Sid box, and after
rebooting I have a seriouse problem:
After login, Kicker dies unexpectedly and without any interaction with it. It
just fades, without any message or anything I could see where this comes
from. The app is definitely dead, also with "ps -A" there's nothing ti find.
I can restart it, but after about 15 secs it dies again! Can anybody tell me
what's wrong??? Or where could I search for the problem (any logs or
something like that?)
