KDE2.1 and noatun?

I've been running Progeny with Ivan's KDE2.1 packages for a while now. I've
seen various posts about kaiman being obsoleted by noatun, but I've still got
kaiman on my system. It seems to work well, but won't work with ALL my media
files. I decided to see it noatun was available and an apt-get install noatun
fetched and installed noatun, but didn't remove kaiman.

When I run noatun from a terminal, I get the following errors:

jgay@progeny:~$ noatun
KCrash: crashing.... crashRecursionCounter = 2
KCrash: Application Name = noatun path = <unknown>

The KDE Crash handler reports this:

I am guessing that there is some incompatibility between noatun and the lib
versions I'm currently running, but that is the limit of my experience. I am
reluctant to start updating libs as doing so in the past has left me with
un-recoverable problems before. If noatun won't run, I'll just purge it for
now and wait for the freeze and update the entire system then. I'm still
waiting for a few more things so I'm used to it by now.

Thanks for any info and help.

Cheers,

	John Gay
