Hi, I've recently installed KDE 2.1.1 packages from kde.tdyc.com on Debian testing machine and I have a problem with sound via artsd. Neither noatun nor arts builder produce any sound. I can hear sound when I play mp3's via XMMS so I'm sure that my sound card drivers are working. I've tried to trace a problem running artsd via strace: strace -e open, close, read, write -e signal=none artsd After started it under strace I've launched noatun and tried to play a mp3 song. I didn't hear anything and slider in noatun didn't moved while it was in 'Play' state. I've attached 5Kb of bzip'ed log here. Looking at log I can see that artsd does opens /dev/dsp but never writes there anything after initialization. What does it mean? Can anybody help me? I've also attached output of /dev/sndstat.
