Two K-Mail problems.
Hi
I have noticed a cpuple of issues with KMail that are annoying and wondered
if its just my settings or an actual real issue.
1) KMail tends to crash KDE if I use it to POP a large number of mails.
If I pop a lot of mails like this morning when I cam into the office and
pulled down over 500 mails from (this list and debian-user) from a pop3
server, KMail pulled all the messages then killed KDE entirely. No error or
anything but the panel disappeared as did konq and kmail itself leaving me
with just the background image. This has happened several time always with
large numbers of messages (100+ I guess).
2) Threading
I have the folders with maillists in them set to threading. Unfortunately
KMail sometimes has pieces of the thread out of sequence ie. Thus when
reading the thread you will press next or delete to got to the next message
which works fine and then suddenly it will jump down 150 messages to the
orphaned couple of messages from th thread. Even worse once I read or delete
these it does not jump back to the real next mail thread but the next message
which may be several hundred messages down from the top of the folder. Thus I
have to manually scrollback to the top of the folder and start reading the
next thread. Makes for a really disjointed reading experience.
On a more posative note I just got the GPG integration going with KMail and
its very nice :)
