The problem isn't consistent. Whenever (okay 3x) there's a
substantial kde upgrade, I seem to get the attachments functionality
back. So my theory is that the installation restarts something which
should be restarted when the user starts up some other window
manager. I clearly remember regaining the functionality after the
2.1-final upgrade. I have lost it since.
