anyone using designer?

ok...if noone on this list knows answer to this then I'll bump it upstream...

This is really a question on how I should prepare the qt packages...

primary qt package is built without kde support...this because in order
to build kde you have to already have qt built...so for a distribution this
is necessary.

but...I've noticed that all the end libs and bins are different in size...

         lib/bin with without
    libqutil.so.1.0.0 45304 35652
    libqt.so.2.2.3 5535282 4872960
       moc 321885 271288
       uic 426441 397976

so...the question is...does it matter whether the libs and bins are built
with or without kde support? I mean..if designer is built with KDE support
do the libs and bins (moc/uic) that acompany it need to be built with KDE
support as well? (currently designer is shipped without them thus requiring
libqt2.2's libs and bins which are built without KDE support)
