Problem with printing

I am using debian potato with kde 2.0.  I am wondering what I have to do in order to change the printer's paper defult to a realistic default of letter.  I know acourding to what I heard, kde 2 was supose to fix that but I do not see any way to set it.

Also, is there a way to move the buttens in the window button bar (min, close, max, sticky) back to what they were in KDE 1?  I think these two features are badly needed.
