we are looking for system engineer to be part of our team.

Location: Prague, CZ

Job Description

This is big opportunity to be part of core of czech internet.  We are
operating distributed redundant central registry system based on Apache,
Postgresql and omniORB.  We are also releasing this system to wide
public and licensing it under GPL license.  We need somebody who is able
to work within team to keep central registry running as smoothly as
possible.

Key responsibilities

- routing (BGP)
- maintainance of active and passive network components
- maintainance of linux servers
- packaging of in-house software

Required skills

- Ubuntu/Debian knowledge
- Cisco knowledge
- excelent in networking (both static and dynamic)
- English language
- Czech language if possible
- willing to relocate to Prague
- basic knowledge of scripting (shell, python)
- knowledge of other technologies (Juniper, Extreme Net.) prefered

About The Employer

CZ.NIC, z. s. p. o. in not-for-profit association established to
operate .CZ TLD.  We employ around 20 employees working in offices
located in Prague, Czech Republic.  Our primary business is to
operate .CZ TLD and 0.2.4.e164.arpa ENUM domains.

Our strategy regarding open source software is open.  We are developing
domain registry system which is going to be published under GNU GPL
license.  We use Ubuntu on our servers, on our work stations and we also
provide resources for Ubuntu Czech LoCo team.
