Hi Alex,

I don't think you're missing anything.  It looks like the sense of that
chmod argument was inadvertently flipped during the jh_exec rewrite.

Thank you for finding the issue and tracking it all the back to the
commit that changed the behavior.

I'll prepare a patched upload soon (if Niels doesn't beat me to it).
