[RFC] Drop tomcat5 from the archive (use tomcat5.5)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi all,
I'd like to have your opinion about dropping tomcat5 from the archive
and only use tomcat5.5.
Reason:
Tomcat5 is not developped actively upstream so it'll be hard to maintain
if there are security issues.
Plan:
1° List of packages that need tomcat5 and does not work or has
not been tested with tomcat5.5
o [list your package here]
2° Filing a serious bug report against tomcat5:
[OBSOLETE] Please use and file bug reports against tomcat5.5
3° Ask for a removal of tomcat5 from testing;
4° Reassign, test and close bug reports from tomcat5 against
tomcat5.5;
5° Maximum test, bug reports and patch against tomcat5.5
Thanks for your comments,
