Hi, i just tried the latest packages (debconf & debconf-i18n 1.3.0) , and everything looks like to work pretty fine with French and Japanese under gnome-terminal, yeah ^^ The creation of 2 perl packages is a good idea thought, anybody can use your perl-wrap this way.
