reinstalla i pacchetti bind9-host e dnsutils, econtrolla i files
/etc/hosts e /etc/resolv.conf
 
ad esempio puoi usare i dns di opendns.org:
*
208.67.222.222**
208.67.220.220*


controlla che non ci siano pacchetti di cache dns installati

di seguito i files citati in una lenny 'pulita' ;-)
