problema con adattatore usb e disco esterno



Ciao a tutti,
ho un problema con un disco esterno
come si evince dall'output di dmesg riportato più sotto
è un maxtor sata da 160GB.
(Montato su un'adattatore ide2usb2.0
che secondo lsusb è
04b4:6830 Cypress Semiconductor Corp. CY7C68300A EZ-USB AT2 USB 2.0 to ATA/ATAPI) Da quando l'ho acquistato il problema è sempre simile ovvero ad un certo punto piglia e comincia a resettare cercando su google il problema sembra essere legato al modulo ehci_hcd che gestisce gli hub usb 2.0 e sempre cercando su google collegandolo ad una porta usb 1.1 il problema si dovrebbe risolvere perchè l'usb 1.1 è gestito da uhci_hcd. Direte voi allora dov'è il problema ?
Ve lo spiego subito
Collegando l'ide2usb ad ognuna delle 4 porte usb del mio aspire 1355lc tutte le porte tranne una sulla quale non compare proprio risultano in quel momento usb 2.0 almeno secondo lsusb e comunque danno tutte lo stesso problema di reset dopo qualche minuto. Inutile dire che se provo a metterlo dietro un hub usb esterno scompare del tutto. P.S. A proposito dell'output di dmesg quando da il problema, anche quando correggo con semplicemente con xfs_check gli errori dei filesystem xfs il problema del reset persiste. P.P.S. E' circa un anno che ho questo HD e il problema è sempre lo stesso. Anche cambiando vari kernel
