nut e ups figlio di.. nn

Buongiorno a tutti,
mi sono trovato per i piedi 3 ups ultra economici e devo metterli  su
3 macchine etch.
I tre affari hanno sia usb che seriale non mi interessa il modo basta
riuscire a farli andare.
Ovviamente driver 0, c'e' un programma che si chiama
Winpower_setup_Linux da scaricare  un accrocchio in java che
ovviamente  non solo non funziona ma nel readme ha addiritura i nomi
del path diversi (censura)
A farla breve ho cercato di usare nut con risultati disastrosi.

Se uso il driver bestups che da sito nut e' quello che provvede al
Phoenixtec Power Co e la porta auto mi risponde picche e non ho idea
di come assegnargli la porta.
se provo lo stesso driver ma con la seriale mi dice che non trova
nessun apparato di quella specie.
se uso il generic ups pare che vada ma se tento di far partire al boot
il tutto cambiando in /etc/defaults/nut
da no a yes START_UPSD e  START_UPSMON il maledetto durante il boot va
in shutdown mentre se li lancio a manina una volta fatto il boot:
4615 ?        Ss     0:00 /lib/nut/genericups -a myups
4617 ?        Ss     0:00 upsd

È' una settimana che ci sto su senza venirne a capo  qualcuno ha una
minima idea del perché questo infamissimo e infimissimo coso  faccia
cosi' e di come possa mettere a posto la situazione?
