gdm_slave_xioerror_handler: Fatal X error
Salve a tutti.
Da qualche settimana a questa parte, il mio sistema sid è diventato
davvero UNSTABLE. Sto avendo dei problemi mai visti, specialmente con il
server X.
Alcuni problemi sono minori e risolvibili con piccole modifiche alla
configurazione dei pacchetti, ma per il problema più grave non so
proprio come fare.
Brevemente, ho una radeon 9200 e utilizzo il driver free.
Il kernel è un vanilla compilato qualche mese fa e Xorg è la versione
presente nei repository unstable:

Il problema è molto semplice: ad intervalli irregolari, il GDM mi
va in crash, restartando X, chiudendo tutte le applicazioni con grafica e rimandandomi
alla schermata di login.
Come potrete ben supporre, è una bella seccatura.
Purtroppo nei log l'unica cosa che appare è questa (syslog):

Secondo google è un problema abbastanza frequente, ma nessuno propone
una "cura". Mi rivolgo alla mailing-list sperando di ottenere consigli
più utili.
