Re: Problemi WI/FI Intel 3945ABG.
Ciao a tutti, io avevo un problema analogo con il wireless, però da me a parte la lucetta che non cambia colore quando funziona tutto va.
Io ho installato iwl3945 da synaptic e ho messo wicd togliendo naturalmente network manager.
Ho anche seguito questa guida

Sarò stato fortunato non lo so, ma adesso wicd funziona molto meglio che non con ipw3945.

ben capito con iwl3945 non si ha ancora piena funzionalità come al contrario succede con ipw3945, e
se qualcuno pensasse --beh allora usa ipw3945 invece di iwl3945-- dico subito che sono forse uno tra i
pochi che non riesce ad usare ipw (...non vedo nemmeno il device con ifconfig). Di seguito:

Sicuramente hai già controllato, ma quel iwl3945: Radio Frequency Kill
Switch is On: mi porterebbe a pensare che la wireless sia inibia via
hardware, ricontrolla lo switch e/o il bios se ha qualche impostazione
a riguardo... :D

Hai la versione giusta del firmware in /lib/firmware?
a me funziona quasi perfettamente, ma niente vita dal led; ogni tanto se
il segnale non è dei migliori perde l'associazione con l'access point...
o meglio, lui dice di essere associato ma in realtà non comunica e un
iwconfig wlan0 ap auto oppure iwconfig wlan essid <essid> risolve la
cosa, qualcuno ne sa qualcosa per caso?
