Allora ... le righe relative wireless-key wireless-essid & C non vengono
assolutamente prese in considerazione, così come l'eventuale
sostituzione con iwconfig wlan0 key 1234567890 etc nel file interfaces.
Ho messo le istruzioni in uno script
DEVICE=wlan0
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
ONBOOT=yes
TYPE=Wireless
WIRELESS_MODE=Managed
WIRELESS_ESSID='xxx'
WIRELESS_ENC_KEY=1234567890
in init.d linkato a rc2.d come da tutorial :

e come da suggerimento di Dan Lud.
