strano cron.daily
Ciao a tutti,
stamattina mi sono reso conto di avere su di un server uno strano
processo, attivato da un file in cron.daily, che mi occupa oltre il 95%
di CPU. Il file in questione ha nome "find" ed e' fatto cosi':
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
#! /bin/sh
#
# cron script to update the `find.codes' database.
#
# Written by Ian A. Murdock <imurdock@debian.org> and
# Kevin Dalley <kevin@aimnet.com>
if [ -f /etc/updatedb.conf ]; then
. /etc/updatedb.conf
fi
cd / && updatedb --localuser=nobody 2>/dev/null
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
mentre /etc/updatedb.conf (richiamato dallo script) e' fatto cosi':
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
# This file sets environment variables which are used by updatedb
# filesystems which are pruned from updatedb database
PRUNEFS="NFS nfs afs proc smbfs autofs auto iso9660 ncpfs coda"
export PRUNEFS
# paths which are pruned from updatedb database
PRUNEPATHS="/tmp /usr/tmp /var/tmp /afs /amd /alex /var/spool"
export PRUNEPATHS
# netpaths which are added
NETPATHS=""
export NETPATHS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Io in genere installo i pacchetti in automatico e sinceramente non
riesco a capire quale sia quello che attiva questa procedura
giornaliera. Qualcuno di voi ha un idea?
Grazie a tutti e ciao
Andrea Basso
P.S.: se e' una stupidata, per cortesia non lapidatemi :(
