Adaptec AHA2940 problem

Hi,

I've got a bi-PIII box with Debian 2.1, kernell 2.2.1
(this box boots on IDE hard drive...)
With Adaptec AHA2920 scsi card, no problem !
At boot time, aic7xxx module was loaded and the adapter recognised.
But now, an AHA2940 is in place of the AHA2920...
And when the aic7xxx module is loaded, I've the folowing error message :

     aic7xxx scsi : 0 hosts.
     /lib/modules/2.2.1/scsi/aic7xxx.o: init_modules: Device or ressource 
busy

Can anybody help me to understand what is the problem.
